This evening C and I went to Simplicity, a small but perfectly packaged restaurant in Bermondsey. All in all a fabulous evening - pint of Blue Moon in the Mayflower followed by a short walk across the cobbles to Simplicity. Chef Lawrence, who introduced himself to us at the end of our meal, created a tempting menu that ranged from classics like kobe beef burgers through to galantine of chicken (breast stuffed with pork, ginger, garlic and chilli, yum). I went for a seabass papillote (that's fish wrapped in foil) and C had the chicken. It was really, really good.
Over dinner we agreed our first dance. Big step forward as the shortlist has ranged from Frankie Valli through to Marge and Homer's Singing The Blues. I got a little emotional over the wine with wedding excitement; for the record, tears at dinner not unusual.
